The Australian government has released a list of the 10 most in-demand jobs over the next five years based on shortages, expected growth and a list of priority skills. From nurses to programmers, here are the most pressing jobs and what you can study to get them.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
If you love construction and feel you have leadership potential, you have a great opportunity to develop your career as a construction manager. There is a great demand for qualified managers in residential, commercial and industrial projects. They plan, direct and oversee all aspects of the construction process, from planning and design to day-to-day site development, construction and administration.

SPECIALISTS IN CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY
Civil Engineers help plan, design, build, and maintain the infrastructure our communities need, such as roads, bridges, railroads, and water supply systems.
This could be a great career path for you if you enjoy math and science, are good at problem solving and enjoy managing projects. As a civil engineer you can run your own office or work for government agencies, private consultancies or large construction companies.
